遊び心を大切にする学び人—— Playful Learner　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

広瀬由美子, Ph.D.
フォトグラファー ／ 研究者（人間科学博士、MFA）

電通にて30年以上にわたり事業開発領域を中心に、産官学連携プロジェクトに携わる。在職中より写真家としても活動し、国内外で個展を開催。

京都芸術大学大学院芸術研究科にて、地域のフィールド調査に基づく映像と写真による研究を行い、2014年に修士課程を修了。2015年には地方移住促進プロジェクトを立ち上げ、「越境的学び」の可能性に着目する。

2020年に独立後、2022年に早稲田大学大学院人間科学研究科博士後期課程を修了。2024年より東京大学大学院情報学環特任研究員。

現在は、「越境的学び」を促す学習環境とライフキャリア形成について、プレイフルネスの視点から研究と実践を続けている。東京・湯河原・米国オレゴンの三拠点を行き来する多拠点生活が、日々の洞察と創造の源泉となっている。

Playful Learner —— A Life Shaped by Curiosity

Yumiko Hirose, Ph.D.

Over the course of more than 30 years at Dentsu Inc., she led business development and industry–government–academia collaborative projects—while quietly pursuing a parallel life as a photographer, holding solo exhibitions in Japan and abroad.

Completing an MFA at Kyoto University of the Arts in 2014, she conducted research through film and photography rooted in regional fieldwork. The following year, she initiated a project promoting regional relocation, drawn to the possibilities of what she calls “boundary-crossing learning.”

After becoming independent in 2020, she completed her Ph.D. in Human Sciences at Waseda University in 2022. Since 2024, she has served as a Project Researcher at the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, the University of Tokyo.

Today, her research and practice explore the learning environments and life-career development that foster boundary-crossing learning—viewed through the lens of playfulness. A life lived across three bases—Tokyo, Yugawara, and Southern Oregon—continues to be an ever-renewing source of insight and creative inspiration.
